DISCOVER HOW TO SECURE ONE OF THE MEDIA JOBS MOST PEOPLE MISS !
You’ve done a course, or you’re nearly finished one, in multi-media, film, television, design, audio-visual production, journalism or photography.
You’re already well down the path of having decided this is the career for you. You’ve had some encouraging starts, maybe good scores for your VCE Media subject, won a prize for a short film, or made some outstanding student work that points to your having talent and potential in the media industry.
Think there’s a job waiting for you? Have you checked
the papers or online job sites lately? Seen many (or any) jobs in the
film or television industry advertised? Didn’t think so! It’s a lot
harder than it looks to get employed in the media field. It’s tough.
You’ll need a clear understanding of what you’re up against.
This workshop will set you up to at least understand and refine your chances of getting hard won employment in your chosen field. It will not guarantee you a job, but will put you miles ahead in the race against the thousands who graduate each year hoping to find one of the limited places in “the biz”. Truth is, we graduate far more students each year than there are jobs, but don't despair, this Workshop will put you right at the front of the pack.
100% satisfaction rate for the August 29, 2009 Melbourne Workshop ! "Ron was great, really easy to listen to and it was obvious he really wants us to succeed. Gave great advice how to make contacts and was both realistic and optimistic. I had a great time." Lisa Twite "Such a depth of knowledge. One stop shop, Ron Brown. Great motivator, every cent is worth it. An inner awakening" Umesh Kotur "I got quite used to paying $1,000 or more for a day
of sometimes good, often average training in my previous job, and found
that $100 got me way more information, advice and common sense than a
whole room of swaggering Americans could muster on a good day! You give
the impression of generosity in your presentation, which is a vital
trait of any good seminar" Kirk Tabalotny "Insightful. The course was vital and informative and brought up areas that I had not considered before" Nada Mustafa "Value for money ! Well structured modules, kept my interest" Elliot Klein "I have confidence now to get work in the media industry" Scott McPhee "Ron was an excellent speaker. Conducted by Ron Brown, an award winning media industry professional for more than 30 years, these Half Day Workshops will provide clear insights into how the media selects it's employees, and you will see, possibly for the first time, how you look to a prospective employer. As well, you will be given clear strategies for finding where you best fit in the industry, how to best prepare yourself for working in the media, how to find prospective employers (they're not where you think !), how to maximise your chances of getting interviewed, and how to win the hearts and minds of employers.
As well, you will be guided in the alternate strategy of self-employment, in how to start from scratch in the industry AND succeed ! By an industry practitioner that did just that, starting his own film company from nothing at the age of only 22 years, and who has gone on to produce 1000 films and videos, employ thousands of cast and crew and writers and photographers, and who has created and produced three successful international tv series and two movies.
